Overlooked children

Call for proposals: Micro or “rapid response” projects
Project duration: 15 Jul–15 Dec 2020
Project budget: 4,999.92 EUR

In the second wave of the epidemic, measures to contain the spread of the COVID-19 infections could again disrupt the continuity and accessibility of therapies for children with special needs, thus seriously endangering their health.

The project Overlooked Children aims to give a voice to people with special needs and their families, who are often overlooked and ignored. We will fight to preserve their rights to professional treatments and therapies.

In order to safeguard these rights, we urgently need to answer two questions: firstly, how will the omitted therapies for children with special needs be replaced, and secondly, how to ensure the therapies run smoothly during the second wave of the epidemic.

We will address those responsible and demand solutions and answers through appearances in the media and awareness-raising campaigns while also putting forward proposals for concrete solutions.
